Victoria Covers Latina Magazine

victoria justice latina

Victoria sparkles on the cover of the October issue of Latina Magazine. She looks absolutely gorgeous! Be sure to click on the banner above to see the cover! Hopefully more pics from the photoshoot will be released soon! In the issue, Victoria talks about her transition from teen queen to rising starlet and her busy post-Victorious schedule.

Here’s a few highlights and the behind-the-scenes video of the photoshoot!

On her drive to perform as an 8-year old: “I was the one who kept bugging my mom about it; I was like, ‘Take me to an agency! I want to try this out!”

On the unexpected cancelation of her Emmy-nominated hit show, Victorious: “The end of Victorious marked the end of my teenage years. I was 12 years old when I started on Nickelodeon, and I literally have spent all my teen years on the network. I will always be grateful to them, but I’m ready to move on.”

On taking on the lead in Fun Size and where she sees herself next: “A lot of the stuff that was presented to me was fluff,” Justice says. “I was definitely ready [to be the lead of a film]. I’m an actress and I want to be an artist and I’m a songwriter. I want to take on projects that allow me to take my audience with me, but start [transitioning] into slightly more mature material.”

On Friday night dinners with her mother, Serene, and what keeps her grounded: “We eat together and we laugh together, and it’s honestly my favorite day of the week,” Justice says. “My parents got divorced when I was young, but I grew up around the Puerto Rican side of the family, so I’m definitely immersed in that culture.”

On her love life: “[Having a boyfriend is] something every girl thinks about. It’s hard because I work all the time, but at the end of the day, it’s a nice thing to be able to have someone that you love and trust.”

For more, pick up the October issue, on newsstands September 11.

Victorious Will Not Be Returning For Season 4!

So sad but it’s true Victorious will not returning for Season 4! Victoria confirmed this exclusively to M Magazine and you can read below what she told them.

“We will not be expecting a fourth season, this is the first time I’ve talked about it. I just found out a couple of days ago that we’re not coming back. It’s sad because I’ve been with Nickelodeon since I was 12 years old and I became a family with my Victorious cast. We spent a lot of time together and bonded for sure — I’ll look back on the experience very fondly. It’s a little shocking and a little bittersweet, but at the end of the day it might not be such a bad thing — we all want to do our own thing and continue to grow.” We’re going to miss Victorious so much!

Victoria will be watching Ariana’s spinoff: ‘I think it will be great! Ariana and Jennette are both so talented and funny and fans are going to love it!

Dan Schneider, the producer and writer of Victorious, posted a new post entry since many fans were angry & upset and blamed him for the ending of Victorious because of the new shows he’s working on. You can read his blog entry below.

Hey guys!  If I misspell anything in this post, please forgive me – I’m in the back seat of a car, typing on my phone! Okay, first things first…

There is a whole NEW season of Victorious coming your way.  We just finished shooting 15 new episodes, and they’re amazing.  If you love Victorious, I feel sure you will love the NEW episodes coming!

By now, a lot of you have heard that Victorious will not be returning for a 4th season.  That is true.  This was the network’s decision – not mine.

Please understand: Almost all Nickelodeon shows have a life of about 60 episodes.  We made around 60 episodes of Drake & Josh… of Zoey 101… and we made 41 episodes of The Amanda Show… and all those shows were big hits.

So, it’s not unusual for a Nick show to do a run of just 60 episodes. I would love to have made more than 60 of Victorious, but that’s how it usually goes. We’re extremely proud of the show, and all we’ve accomplished.

Also – and it’s really important that you know this – the network’s decision about Victorious had nothing to do with “Gibby” or “Sam & Cat”.  I promise.  Even if there was no “Gibby” and no “Sam & Cat” – the network still would have ended Victorious after its 60-episode run.

I know that some of you are upset and angry – and while I feel terrible about that, I’m also flattered by it.  I really appreciate that you care so much.  It means you love the show, which makes me feel very proud.

But I ask that you please not be angry with Victoria, or Leon, Liz, Ariana, Avan… or ANY of the Victorious cast members or staff.  They all wanted Victorious to continue – so did I.

But remember!  Stay psyched about the 15 new episodes of Victorious coming your way!

And I hope you’ll continue to support Victoria Justice, and me, and all the stars of Victorious.  I can almost guarantee you – they will make a big impact on the future of entertainment.

And finally… of course… I will keep making the best, funniest TV shows I know how to make, for as long as people have fun watching them.

I’ll see you online later, and I’ll try to answer some of your questions.

Thanks for listening.  As always, please be nice to each other. Smile Love, –Dan (a.k.a. DanWarp)
